How to write the middle of your crime novel

How to write a crime novel, episode 4

How to write the middle of your crime novel? The middle of your book, Act II, is where most of the action of the novel happens. Here’s how you get started on it.

Here, in brief, is what you have to do in the first half of Act II:

  • introduce a subplot
  • build pressure on the hero and show them investigating

That takes you through to the midpoint, which is the subject of my next video.
