Daily Detective: Win a novel in new crime fiction competition
I’m starting a new crime fiction competition on my blog, FB and Twitter. Each day or two I’ll post five clues. The answer, of course, will be the title of a crime fiction novel or thriller (it may not strictly be a detective novel, but I’m a writer so I had to go for the alliteration and, after all, it’s not going to be strictly daily either because I have hungry mouths to feed). To win a prize, you have to (a) give me the correct answer and (b) re-tweet or share the questions with your followers/friends. The winner each day goes into a draw for a prize, which will naturally enough be a signed copy of one of my books. The winners throughout the year also go into a hat for an annual prize: one person gets to be a character in my next novel.
Here are the clues for the first competition:
1. She lives in Manhattan.
2. She comes to PM at AM.
3. She comes from Kansas.
4. She’s concerned for Orrin.
5. “Slim, dark and lovely and smiling. Reeking with sex. Utterly beyond the moral laws of this or any world I could imagine.”
Got it?
Post your answer as a comment on this blog if you shared the clues on FB. Or retweet them on Twitter. And you’re in the bag for a copy of MOZART’S LAST ARIA.

Finally 'Amadeus' has a successor. Read the secrets of the great composer's mysterious death.

Nice work, Steve! …I’m already starting to visualize a “Steve Slesinger” character in the next book…It has a racy sound to it. Very good for a thriller!
